Graduation and Nostalgia

Why am I posting a picture of someone else's graduation announcement? Because. This isn't just anyone. This is Jennie.

This is the girl who has literally been there since day one. This girl was there for my very first classes, my first study groups, my first group projects. She was there when I went through my first real college trials and my first grown-up decisions.

She was there when I was happy, ecstatic, and laughing. She was there when I was sad, crying, and had lost hope. She was there to dance out the crazy and to tell me that she truly believed that everything would be OK. She watched as my life changed in hundreds of ways. She has known my hopes and dreams from the days of laughing in our dorms to the day she stood next to me at my wedding.

She has given me so much wisdom. She has helped me grow in so many ways. This girl practically defines my college experience.

We have both grown and changed so many ways over the past four years. Our ideas about life have shifted to a point where the high-school-graduate versions of ourselves might not even recognize us. We have learned so much about patience, kindness, love, human relationships, and what it means to be there for someone. We have discovered ourselves.

I am posting her graduation announcement because this girl is my soul sister, and I am so proud of the person she has become. Don't worry Jennie, there's a little bit of mommy in all of us :)
