Nothing a little cinnamon can't fix

You know those wonderful days that turn into odd nights and up making you feel weird and, to steal the phrase from a friend, in a funk?

The best solution is to have someone randomly bring you a chocolate cupcake with your favorite candy on top.

How is it that I live with the world's most wonderful people ever?

In other news, let's talk about my favorite place in Jerusalem. Israel. Planet earth? Whatever.

The Western Wall. It is a small section of the western wall of the Temple mount from the Second temple period, the temple where Jesus would have taught. This section of the wall is sacred because A) it survived and B) it is the closet the Jews can get to the actual temple mount, which now houses the Dome of the Rock.

Today it is a place for Jews to congregate and pray. They write their prayers down and stick them in the walls trusting God to keep his eyes on this holy spot. Then they proceed to back away, not wanting to turn their backs on their prayers.

I am not sure what exactly has attracted me to this wall, but there is something about it that I love.

So the other day my roommates and I decided to take part in the magic :)

Writing our prayers on the steps just south of the mount

There lies my prayer, forever a part of this holiness

  1. If you wanted to, you could put a little prayer in there for Michael :) All prayers to all gods are welcome and needed.
