Quite often I find myself thinking about the book Ella Enchanted. So often, in fact, that I sometimes forget that other people dont think about it as often as I do. I mean, how could you not? With all of the car adds telling you to 'Hurry in! Get a car today!' A while ago someone in church asked the congregation to turn with them to a scripture, and once again I found myself thinking of poor Ella. If she had been me in that situation, she would have had quite the problem. You see I had not remembered to bring my scriptures that day, and I could just picture myself having to reach over the bench and take the scriptures from the person sitting behind me.
You see, if I had the 'blessing' that Ella had, not only would I be in major debt, but I would also find myself in very many awkward situations, trying to find an explanation.
So next time you find yourself wondering what good things you have in your life, I suggest you think of Ella Enchanted, and you will be amazed at how grateful you will suddenly feel.
It's so true! I think about her all the time! I was in the store with my mom and there was a hideous dryer with a sign that said "Take me home today!" and I could just see myself trying to steal this huge, ugly dryer by dragging it (inconspicuously...?) out of the store... Yeah, awkward...
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Sadie, you make me laugh. I think of her often, too. Walking through the mall, with signs everywhere. "Buy today!" Can you imagine how broke we'd all be?
ReplyDeleteThanks for a good laugh.
=)
