Sadie wadie little lady bim bam bubbles.
My father is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life.
He has the tendency of coming off all serious, but when you get to know him you learn there are few things he loves more than a good laugh.
Between him and my lovely mother, I don't think it would be possible for me to have the example of two more selfless people.
Somehow he has always managed to bring the gospel into everything he teaches me, and he is an amazing example of practicing what he preaches.
No one tells stories better than my dad. No one makes better bread than my dad.
I will forever be indebted to him for introducing me to frozen blueberries.
He has the most amazing talent that he is so willing to share.
Of all the people I've met in my life, no one has inspired me to be a better person quite like my dad. He has taught me the importance of following spiritual promptings, and doing so quickly.
I have learned from him the importance of service in all its forms.
He is so aware of the people around him and their individual needs.
Before I left for Jerusalem this semester I forgot to get a fathers blessing. It was the first time in my life, and I still feel sick about it. But I am so grateful that I have a dad who is able to give me blessings.
One day in 5th grade my dad packed my lunch. He put a peeled orange wrapped in plastic wrap in my brown paper bag. I still remember how grateful I was that he took the time out of his morning to peel the orange for me.
After my surgery I was having a painful day, and when my dad got home from work he came right in and rubbed my feet until I fell asleep. It meant more to me than I think he realized.
He always makes sure we do all we can to make life as easy for my mother as possible.
His office door on campus is always open, and he is happy to talk when I am need of a listening ear.
Happy birthday Dad, thank you for being the person you are :)
